ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A kitchen fire broke out on Racine’s south side on Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. when working smoke alarms alerted a resident, and firefighters swiftly controlled the blaze – saving the family and their pets – with no injuries reported.  Racine County Eye

CULTURE NEWS

  • Grace Allen, an alder and school board member, is set to compete for the title of Mrs. Wisconsin on March 28 in Wausau as part of her Whole Woman initiative to promote self-care as healthcare—she hopes to inspire local women to thrive.  Racine County Eye

EDUCATION NEWS

  • In Wisconsin, nearly half of private school students receive vouchers funded by taxpayers, including Racine’s RPCP (Racine's program). Lawmakers are considering decoupling voucher funding from public school aid to directly support eligible students.  Racine County Eye
