- ➤ On Monday, community members honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with wreath-laying ceremonies at the monument and performances at the MLK Community Center. City leaders and local groups presented awards and announced that next year's observance will take place at the expanded center. Racine County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Racine Unified leads the state in dual enrollment by helping high schoolers earn college credits and career skills while saving families over $345,000 in tuition (a state leader in participation) and will report enrollment stats to the board after Jan. 23. Racine County Eye
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Laila Collier-White broke St. Catherine’s 20-year scoring record on Dec. 23 by scoring 38 points and reaching 1,532 career points against Shoreland Lutheran. She credited her mom for her support and said the milestone opens new opportunities for her team in girls’ basketball — setting the stage for more achievements. Racine County Eye
