EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ RUSD will add six minutes to each school day next school year to meet state instructional hour requirements, splitting the time with three minutes at the start and at the end. For example, S.C. Johnson Elementary will begin at 7:12 a.m. and finish at 2:24 p.m. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Raymond School District has begun a new facilities feasibility study with consultant Nexus Solutions to collect documents and review building needs. Superintendent Michael Leach said the district seeks community help for a task force that is expected to start meeting in April — board updates will continue monthly. Racine County Eye
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Racine County residents should set clocks forward one hour Saturday night as daylight saving time starts Sunday, March 8; the American Heart Association warns this change may raise heart attack and stroke risks from lost sleep. Health experts advise easing the shift by adjusting sleep routines and reducing screen time. Racine County Eye
