- ➤ Racine County is listing new job openings for local job seekers + opportunities span various roles for those aiming to start or grow their careers. The Journal Times
- ➤ Wisconsin companies have grown over $1 billion in orders related to data centers, with Racine-based Modine reporting $180 million in cooling system orders. Hyperscale centers will begin operating later this year and more projects are planned to boost manufacturing jobs and economic growth across the state. Racine County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ At Jerstad-Agerholm School, fifth graders gathered on March 4 to learn responsible AI use by solving puzzles & cracking a safe with a Racine Unified certification sticker. District leaders led the session as schools prepared to expand AI learning opportunities. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Scott Coey is running to retain his seat on the Racine Unified School Board for District 2 (challenged by Marlo Harmon) while promising to address classroom challenges with less technology and more recess, drawing on his lifelong local experience as a teacher. Racine County Eye
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ For the first time ever, none of Racine County’s ten WIAA girls basketball teams reached the sectionals after losses in regional rounds on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. This marks only the fourth time since 1983 that no county team advanced. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Jefferson upset Union Grove 44-35 in the WIAA regional semifinal on Union Grove’s home floor with a stifling zone defense, ending the Broncos’ season in coach Domagalski’s 26-year tenure. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Nolan Greb powered Prairie to a 61-50 win over Salam School in the WIAA Division 4 quarterfinal at Johnson Athletic Center in Wind Point by hitting seven 3-pointers and scoring 22 points; Prairie will face Whitefish Bay Dominican Friday in the semifinal. Racine County Eye
