COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Racine County’s largest senior resource fair is coming to Fountain Hall on May 13 with over 60 vendors offering healthcare, financial, and home services — the free event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Racine County Eye

HEALTH NEWS

  • Racine doctors say this flu season is the worst in 15 years as many kids are kept home from school with high fevers and long-lasting sickness (some children have temperatures above 104° for up to six days). They now urge residents to get vaccinated and practice good hygiene (including washing hands and staying home when sick) as cases shift from Influenza A to a rise in Influenza B.  Racine County Eye

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Saturday, Racine's Park and Prairie high school boys basketball teams won sectional finals in Whitefish Bay — Park defeated Waterford 71-41 to return to state for the first time since 1960 and Prairie edged Cedar Grove-Belgium 61-58 to secure its state tournament spot.  Racine County Eye
  • Park High School's Panthers beat the Waterford Wolverines 71-41 on Saturday in the sectional playoff basketball game and will face Wauwatosa West on Friday at state+ marking their first state appearance since 1960.  Racine County Eye
