- ➤ Racine doctors say this flu season is the worst in 15 years as many kids are kept home from school with high fevers and long-lasting sickness (some children have temperatures above 104° for up to six days). They now urge residents to get vaccinated and practice good hygiene (including washing hands and staying home when sick) as cases shift from Influenza A to a rise in Influenza B. Racine County Eye
