BUSINESS NEWS

  • Racine businesses are adapting to health trends by offering organic menus, sustainable practices, holistic treatments, and THC-infused products. Local restaurants, cafes, and wellness shops are updating their offerings to meet rising consumer demand — a change that could boost community health.  Racine County Eye
  • The Hoffmann Family of Companies, which owns nearly 10% of Lee Enterprises, said on Thursday it wants to open discussions about buying the company outright—he hopes to combine its media holdings with Lee’s 78 newspapers to support local journalism. Lee’s board said it will carefully review any credible offer for the benefit of all shareholders.  The Journal Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Isiah Seago, a Horlick High School senior, is Racine’s first fire and EMT youth apprentice who completed his emergency medical responder license and will take a 14-week Gateway EMT course with a test next month — he also serves as a Racine Fire Department cadet gaining hands-on experience in emergency response.  The Journal Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Voters in Waterford will choose two candidates for town board supervisors on April 1 — each candidate answered a 200-word questionnaire about their vision for the town. The candidates’ responses cover topics like government misconduct, police relations and town growth — issues residents are watching closely.  The Journal Times
  • Tim Szeklinski is running against incumbent Teri Jendusa Nicolai for Waterford’s Town Chair and both answered a candidate questionnaire on fixing the police department and settling boundary deals with neighbors. The election is set for (April 1).  The Journal Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, Washington Park High School’s boys’ basketball team is set to face Cedarburg in the state tournament at the Kohl Center after receiving donated Nike Freak 6 shoes from Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo—officials also warned fans on social media to use only the verified blue checked WIAA page when buying tickets to avoid scam links.  Racine County Eye
