- ➤ The Racine Common Council will vote on Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. on two contracts worth about $2.75 million to repair city streets. If approved, Payne—Dolan Inc. will resurface Wisconsin Avenue, Shoop Street, Douglas Avenue and College Avenue while Milwaukee General Construction Co. will reconstruct an alley north of 16th Street, improve Lake Avenue and restore parts of Douglas Avenue. - ➤ Racine Common Council will vote Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. on a $14.2 million contract with KGI Construction Group to build 33 owner-occupied Lincoln-King townhomes that support affordable housing in a neighborhood with mostly older rentals — if approved, construction will begin in May and finish in August 2026. - ➤ Elon Musk announced on X that he will visit Wisconsin Sunday, March 30 to speak only to those who have already voted in the state's Supreme Court election and will hand out two $1 million checks to petition supporters—his super PAC already gave a check to Green Bay’s Scott Ainsworth. Judge Susan Crawford’s campaign said the visit is a last-minute attempt to sway voters in the election on Tuesday, April 1. CBS58
