ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • NWS confirmed one tornado touched down in Racine County Tuesday night + local authorities expect more storms later today.  The Journal Times

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Racine County homeowners may see higher energy bills after We Energies filed a proposal for a 9.2% rate hike that could add over $23 to monthly bills by 2028. Local programs through RKCAA and WHEAP will help low-income households lower costs through efficiency upgrades.  Racine County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sen. Tammy Baldwin introduced her For the Fans Act on Tuesday to stop streaming blackouts + lower high subscription fees that force Wisconsin fans to pay over $1,500 annually to watch local games.  Racine County Eye
  • The Racine licensing committee recommended that council deny a beer and wine license to Meet N Greetz Entertainment (on 6th Street) after incomplete criminal history disclosure, though its dance hall license was approved; owner Latricia Crockrom will attend Monday’s meeting for a final vote.  Racine County Eye
