  • Dashja Turner was sentenced to prison in Racine on April 25 for child neglect after five children were rescued from an unfinished basement that had no food, no bathroom, exposed wooden stairs and one pull cord light — she will serve six years of initial confinement followed by nine years of extended supervision.  FOX6

  • HarborFest will return to Festival Hall Park in Racine on June 13 and 14, revived by three local businessmen who aim to bring back this lakeside tradition of music, food, and community support. The nonprofit event will feature regional headliners and local vendors—proceeds will go to Racine County Food Bank and Veterans Outreach—while offering a taste of Wisconsin culture.  CBS58

  • Paths to Healing is a three-day retreat for survivors and allies that offers speakers, breakouts, workshops, a resource fair—and a Saturday night dance party to celebrate resilience.
