- ➤ UW Parkside Theatre earned American College Theatre Festival awards for Mr. Burns and students in acting, design and tech, highlighting its strong commitment to the arts. The Journal Times

- ➤ Thirty-three high school students from Kenosha and Racine have been named to receive over $500,000 in scholarships (supporting local education) as their achievements are recognized ahead of the upcoming academic year. The Journal Times
- ➤ Gateway Technical College (located in southeastern Wisconsin) has named Veronique Vien Tran as its new president and CEO; she will begin her official duties on July 1. The Journal Times
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Ascension Wisconsin delivered free healthcare (physical exams, screenings and no-cost prescriptions) to uninsured residents in Racine, Milwaukee and Appleton on Saturday, May 2. More than 600 volunteers and community partners helped offer ongoing support. Racine County Eye
