EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rocco Fiorita, a graduating senior at J.I. Case High School, found purpose in the trades when metal contractor Martin Petersen offered him a job at a school job fair; he has logged (over 1,000 hours) on the site and will join the union and graduate on June 7. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Raymond School’s third graders brought history to life Monday night at the school board meeting with their annual wax museum projects. The 39 students researched, wrote and performed on stage as teachers (Miss Coop, Miss Fueling) praised the four participating students for their creative presentations. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Raymond School District posted strong finances at its May 18 board meeting as its cash reserve rose from $383,242 last year to about $1.08 million at April's end plus a $63,813 lottery tax credit eased the tax burden. Officials said funds will cover bills and a short-term loan later. Racine County Eye
