ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Last Thursday a fire in Brighton destroyed a two-story home on the 23300 block of 18th Street and required 100,000 gallons of water to put out the blaze — displacing six residents — while officials say a lithium-ion battery used to charge a drone likely started the fire. Racine County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Kiwanis Club of West Racine awarded six $3,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors during its May 21 meeting as part of its 2025 Scholarship Program. The awards were funded by the Ted and Elizabeth Jacobson Foundation and additional donations (given in memory of local members) and will help the students prepare for college. Racine County Eye
