- ➤ Downtown Racine is hosting three major events today — the Lighthouse Run at Festival Park with competitive races beginning at 8 a.m., the Juneteenth Parade starting at 11 a.m. along Fourth and Main, and Racine HarborFest on the lakefront featuring live music, food trucks, and booths. Participants in the run can pick from a 10-mile, 4-mile, or fun run/walk race — and those who join get free entry to HarborFest while the parade and festival offer additional community celebrations. - ➤ Gun violence in Racine dropped nearly 80% from last year with nine people struck in 2025 compared to 42 in 2024 — the city has installed three free gun lock vending machines at the public library, transit center, and community center funded by ARPA dollars to boost secure firearm storage.
