Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 18th of June.
Good morning, Racine.
🏛️ Government
Experts say IRS workforce cuts are costing more than they save as nearly 11,000 employees left and further reductions could lead to massive revenue losses over 10 years.
The changes affect about 10% of Wisconsin's IRS staff—raising concerns that lower federal funds may challenge state programs.
🏥 Health
Ascension Wisconsin delivered 2,000 free nasal naloxone kits statewide through partnerships — including the Ascension Wisconsin Foundation, Behavioral Health Services of Racine County and the City of Milwaukee Health Department — to help patients at risk of an opioid overdose.
The kits work quickly to reverse overdose symptoms and reduce death rates in communities across the state.
