- ➤ Benner Beats Hunger is a free summer food program that serves lunch at 11:45 a.m. & dinner at 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Racine Police Department Community Oriented Policing House on Geneva St. The program began June 23 and will end Aug. 29 & aims to expand to more locations next summer to help feed children and adults in need. - ➤ Racine will hold its 6th Annual Taco Fest at the Franksville Craft Beer Garden in 2025 with free family admission, live music, and taco trucks plus 20 craft beer taps plus strict no carry-in rules at Franksville Memorial Park. The calendar also lists Taco Thursdays starting May 22 and an 8th Annual Food Truck Festival in September. CBS58
- ➤ Racine native Madi Long will compete in the Galaxy International Pageant in August and will support local students through her annual school supply drive. The drive includes a Stuff the Truck event (at Sew N’ Save on Durand Ave on July 19th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm) and donation days (at Piggly Wiggly on Spring Street on July 26th and 27th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm).
