- ➤ Racine nonprofit Put the Guns Down basketball league hosted its fifth event last Sunday at Dr. John Bryant Community Center — using basketball to offer first, second and third chances to community members. - ➤ Bendt Bendtsen shot a record 66 at Meadowbrook Country Club in the Racine Tri-Course Amateur Championship after Friday’s storms made the greens soft, and he boosted his two-round total to 11-under with a lead of five shots over Joe O’Brien.
