BUSINESS NEWS

  • SCJ will relocate about 170 Chicago employees to Racine and promise that no roles will be cut—according to the company.  The Journal Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Common Council approved a resolution on Tuesday to buy three new electric transit buses using federal grant money to replace buses that are more than 12 years old — the plan includes training city mechanics and will cost about $4.5 million with $3.8 million from the grant.  The Journal Times

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • The City of Racine partnered with CityWise Software to launch a rental listing website+all housing units on the site are inspected and verified by the city. Residents can use the website to find reliable rental options.  The Journal Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Milwaukee Brewers will give away a custom shirt featuring rookie pitcher Jacob "The Miz" Misiorowski on Aug. 10, and the first 25,000 ticketed fans can choose between medium and large sizes to celebrate his MLB start. The shirt, designed by Racine native Estevan Longoria, honors Parkinson's awareness with a tulip on the sleeve + his nickname on the chest.  CBS58
