- ➤ Judge Jamie McClendon was sworn in on Thursday at the Racine County Courthouse as the first Black woman to serve a full term on the Circuit Court, and almost 100 people attended the ceremony. She promised to rule fairly — following the law and the constitution — while family and local leaders celebrated her historic achievement. The Journal Times
