- ➤ Racine’s 8th Annual Franksville Food Truck Festival will be held Friday, September 5 from 5PM to 9PM and Saturday, September 6 from 11AM to 9PM at Franksville Memorial Park — the free event, organized by sponsors including the Franksville Craft Beer Garden, Enjoy Mount Pleasant, and Visit Racine County, will feature over 20 food trucks, live music, craft beer, and bounce houses for kids. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Racine Art Museum will host SAVOUR 2025 Garden Gala—Cultivating Creativity on Saturday, September 27, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at its Wustum campus on Northwestern Avenue. Local chefs, artists and teachers will join floral artisans to create a garden of art and food that supports museum programs. CBS58
- ➤ The Racine Zoo offered a car, truck and bike show on Sunday, August 17, and will host a Final Animal Crackers Concert on August 20 and a family-focused Zoorific Saturday on August 23. It will continue its summer schedule with a WRWP event on August 27 and a Zoo Debut charity gala on September 6 that will raise funds for animal care. CBS58

- ➤ Case HS senior Malcom “Tre” Hatfield III will give away 500 backpacks to Racine families tomorrow, Aug. 19, at MH Imaging, 6800 Washington Ave. Volunteers will distribute the backpacks with school supplies on a first-come, first-served basis—children with special needs may go to the front.
