COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Racine County Eye announced a new project called Community Champions that asks readers to nominate local individuals making a difference in schools, sports, and the community—stories will begin publishing Sept. 2. The project will highlight winners in four treatment areas including Student Spotlight and Educator Excellence.  Racine County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Evers visited the Growing Tree Child Development Center at 3333 Douglas Ave. in Racine last Thursday to highlight the first round of Child Care Bridge Payments that delivered nearly $239,932 to local providers and $8.7 million statewide to support child care and staff retention. The payments help centers offer competitive wages and maintain high standards—ensuring stability for families.  The Journal Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Case Eagles kicked off their football season on August 22 with three contests— in the varsity game, the team shut out the Cedarburg Bulldogs 17–0 and knocked three quarterbacks out of play. The Eagles will host Sussex Hamilton on August 29 at 7 p.m.—a game set to test their season momentum.  Racine County Eye
