ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A garage fire late Monday night on Racine’s 1200 block of Main Street damaged three vehicles and one motorcycle, knocked out power to nearby homes, and caused over $150k in damage, while firefighters responded swiftly (no injuries were reported and investigators have not determined if the fire was suspicious). EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Racine Unified School District hosted an open house on August 26 at the new Olympia Brown Middle School addition at 2115 5 1/2 Mile Rd in Caledonia, which now serves grades six to eight and will include seventh grade next school year. The school district is also completing $366,000 in repair work from a suspected drunk driver crash into two classrooms—ensuring classes begin on schedule. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Students and families toured a renovated section of Olympia Brown K-8 School on Tuesday during an open house—visiting new classrooms—and saw plans for updated learning spaces. The Journal Times
