Good morning, Racine.

Cari Greving from Visit Racine County said on the Community Calendar that Feast on the Streets: Fall Edition will take place Friday, Sept 12 from 4 PM to 8 PM in downtown Racine; the event will serve fall dishes from 10 local restaurants and offer parking — Lake Avenue, Shoop, Civic Centre, and McMynn ramps for $3.50 — near the venue.

Local author Zachary wrote a memoir that tells how he struggled with loss when his mother died at 13 and later faced hardship, grief and addiction.

He gained strength by joining the Marines and now his book offers hope as it shows his journey of healing and pays tribute to his mom's love—his story of resilience.
