- ➤ Downtown Racine Corporation will host First Fridays on September 6 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with live country music at Monument Square and Feast on the Streets featuring 10 downtown restaurants, and will hold Party on the Pavement on September 20—a 12-block family street festival along Main and 6th Streets. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A resident called 911 shortly after 3:30 a.m.—reporting a loud noise in the basement and a heavy cloud of smoke as a fire damaged a house on North Oregon Street early Monday morning. The Journal Times
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ At Gene Schneider Field, Racine Lutheran lost a 34-10 non-conference football game to Martin Luther after injuries derailed the team’s early momentum—starting quarterback Cohen Kraus and lineman Cameron Yohn left the game—and Martin Luther scored 27 unanswered points in the second half. Coach Jeff Kraus said the loss will help the team learn and prepare for upcoming challenges. Racine County Eye
