- ➤ An off-duty Racine officer hit and injured a pedestrian near 12th and Villa on Sept 4—he stopped to help the injured person who was taken to a hospital while the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office investigates the incident. FOX6
- ➤ A 20-year-old Racine woman, Shamya Anderson, has been charged with 29 criminal counts after her SUV lost control and collided with a city bus and another vehicle near 16th and Murray Avenue on Sept. 3—11 people were injured, including high school students, and she made an initial court appearance on Sept. 5 with a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 11 and a $500,000 cash bond. - ➤ Racine police said a 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to an attempted homicide charge after he was involved in a bar shooting on Wisconsin Avenue on April 12—officers found a man with a gunshot wound. The Journal Times

- ➤ Former Miss Wisconsin Jennifer Navratil said Willow Newell is making history as the first Black Miss Wisconsin — reaching the Miss America stage is a big win that will inspire local girls.
