ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 12-year-old boy drowned in Lake Michigan at Pershing Park on Aug. 13th at 8:15 a.m.—his family is asking the city for better warning signs and lifesaving rings to help prevent another tragedy.  FOX6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Proponents of a multi-state transmission project urged federal regulators to dismiss a complaint they call deficient+ misleading. They argue that rejecting the complaint will support work on the project through Wisconsin.  The Journal Times
  • Brian Fliss, Burlington town supervisor since June 2021 and diagnosed with ALS in August 2024, is resigning effective October 1 because his worsening health no longer supports the role — marking a pause in his public service.  Racine County Eye
