- ➤ On Sept. 26, the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove received a $931,500 grant from the VA National Cemetery Administration — the funds will be used to upgrade the cortege assembly area, roads, parking, flag area and landscaping to better serve the more than 420,000 veterans and family members in the region. - ➤ Racine County announced on Tuesday that County Trunk Highway C in Mount Pleasant will close for traffic from Oct. 1—Nov. 15 for residential development projects. The Journal Times
- ➤ The village is inviting residents to learn about a request to amend the land use map and rezone 245 acres on Botting Road and Douglas Avenue for a proposed data center. Officials will provide details and answer questions during the public session. The Journal Times
