COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Racine community leaders and United Way are working to keep food resources available during the shutdown—citizens can access an updated list of food pantries and meal sites online.  The Journal Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Racine Unified School District reported during a November 3rd work session that its long-range facilities master plan is on schedule and under budget five years after the community approved a $1 billion referendum. The district has completed ten projects—including renovations at Horlick High, Mitchell, Olympia Brown, and S.C. Johnson schools as well as opening the new Schulte School—and plans to demolish Roosevelt Elementary in late winter and open Red Apple STEAM in February (with additional school turnovers and property sales planned).  Racine County Eye
