- ➤ Phyliss Brown, 97, died peacefully on November 9 at her home in Tucson, Arizona. A lifelong Racine resident and dedicated volunteer, she will be honored today at Racine Jewish Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.—she is remembered fondly by her family and community. Racine County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Red Apple Elementary students gathered in the STEAM gym on Veterans Day, Nov 11 to listen to Army veteran teacher Jesse Chen share his military experiences and the 'CAT' values of courage, attitude and teamwork. After the talk, students and veterans left together—hot cocoa was served to honor their service. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Raymond School held its Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11, honoring local veterans, military families and students with readings, poems and the distribution of commemorative star patches made from retired American flags. The program featured remarks from military representatives and ended with a moment of silence to remember those lost in action. Racine County Eye
- ➤ Racine students’ artwork is featured in the new personal finance 2026 calendar that will be published next year — the project highlights local talent while supporting financial literacy. The Journal Times
