- ➤ On Thanksgiving, nearly 300 volunteers served free meals to almost 4,000 residents at Thanksgiving Racine, a renamed event formerly known as Dan and Ray Rendering Thanks. Founding volunteer Dan Johnson retired his role — passing leadership to a mother-daughter duo from Catering by Danny at Hickory Hills — as they prepare to carry on the long-established tradition next year.
