- ➤ Struggle 2 Strength, a pilot program linking young men and older mentors, concluded at Dr. John Bryant Community Center on Sunday, Dec. 14. The City’s Department of Community Safety hosted the ceremony featuring keynote Judge Everett D. Mitchell, who urged participant Jermarius Harris to aim for new opportunities + growth. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ About 275,000 Racine County residents who use ACA tax credits for health insurance may see premiums rise next year as the credits expire at the end of 2025. A local navigator agency, Covering Wisconsin, warns that many could lose their affordable coverage if the credits are not renewed. Racine County Eye
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ A busy week in high school basketball saw St. Catherine’s boys edge Racine Lutheran 75 to 74 and Union Grove girls beat Waterford to stay unbeaten. Standout performances came from Catholic Central’s Sam Fait, who scored 52 points, and Burlington’s Whitney Schmidt, who recorded 40 as teams competed locally. Racine County Eye
