About this event
Explore Illinois Beach State Park. This National Natural Landmark is one of the richest, biologically diverse areas in the state. Join us for what will be one of our last hikes before the snow falls!
We will meet on Saturday, November 7, at 11:00 at Illinois Beach State Park Nature Center Parking Lot. The link below gives directions and information about the area.
There is a vault toilet in the parking lot. You may want to bring Hand San as it often isn’t very well maintained. Also, the Nature Center building isn’t always opened.
We will walk an approximate 3-mile loop beginning on the Dead River Trail and retuning on the Beach Trail (or walking on the beach if you prefer). The trail is easy, but For those with restrictions, please note it is not paved and there are one or two areas with deep sand.
There will be an option to go for lunch at a local restaurant after the hike.
Listed by Meetup: Villa Park, IL, gathered by the Racine events calendar.
