- ➤ A severe thunderstorm struck Racine County Thursday evening and knocked out power for more than 6,700 We Energies customers—neighborhoods near Lake Michigan including Wind Point and North Bay suffered hail damage to homes and vehicles. - ➤ Federal funding cuts have put the National Farm Medicine Center at risk, with its director warning that about three-quarters of its research on farm safety for children and rural communities could be lost.
