SCJ will relocate about 170 Chicago employees to Racine and promise that no roles will be cut—according to the company.

The Common Council approved a resolution on Tuesday to buy three new electric transit buses using federal grant money to replace buses that are more than 12 years old — the plan includes training city mechanics and will cost about $4.5 million with $3.8 million from the grant.
